Fireproof Test of HPL Panel
HPL is the name of high-pressure laminate. Its key advantage is fireproof. This kind of panels often has a colorful surface with beautiful texture.
Usually working as the decorative panel of buildings, it’s also called HPDL, (high-pressure decorative laminate). The video shows the performance of panel skin under fire.
The skin is a combination of melamine and phenolic resins. Thermoset melamine resin is glossy and transparent. With a stiff surface, it is wear-resistant, heat resistant, and impact resistant. It also prevents contamination by the extreme fine micropore surface. Thermoset phenolic resin is also strong at stiffness and heat resistance. HPL combines all these merits of both.
